First of all let’s discuss what metabolism is? It is a process by which your body burns calories in order to maintain life. It is very important to keep metabolism active or healthy if you want to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.The more e you eat the more you burn calories but at right time right quantity and off course right food.
When it comes to weight loss quality and quantity both matters. We can make few changes to our diet to boost up metabolism.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon boost the metabolism as body uses more energy to process the spice .not even this it increases insulin sensitivity and decreases blood sugar to an extent. This helps in weight loss. Cinnamon basically targets abdominal fat and very beneficial for health.

Water

Water plays the crucial role in our body to have a successful weight loss and keep metabolism active especially when it comes to cold water .cold water keeps the metabolism active as body has to bring it to normal temperature and to bring it to normal temperature body will require calories so having cold water will keep the metabolism active and helps to burn calories.

Green Tea

Drinking green tea half an hour every meal can also boost up the metabolism which aids in weight loss.Green Tea is easily available in markets with different flavors.

Black Coffee

Caffeine in black coffee boost the metabolism and it increases fat burning .the other benefit of black coffee is that it reduces the appetite and in result you eat less.

Protein Rich Food

Consuming food rich in proteins aids in boosting metabolism. Foods that rich in proteins include lean meat, eggs fish, lentils and legumes.

High Intensity Workout

Doing high intensity workout increase up the metabolism and aids in healthy weight loss. High intensity workout increases the heart rate and burns body fat quickly.

Fruits

Eating fruits like oranges, grape fruits, lemons and lime kick start the metabolism as it contains vitamin c which metabolizes fat faster helping in weight loss.

Diseases which slows the Metabolism

There are many diseases which slows the metabolism including hypothyroidism, diabetes, cushing syndrome, and many more …. So better to consult a physician if one feels that the metabolism is on the slower side.

Eating frequent small meals every two hours can keep the metabolism active though out the day.human body is like a machine.it needs fuel to work in the form of food giving body the right quantity and quality of food is the key to keep metabolism active and losing weight.
Our metabolism is highly active at morning times as compare to night so having a nutritious breakfast and eating light at dinner is also important.
One thing which cannot be ignored is not to skip meals .By skipping meals actually slows the metabolism. If we don’t eat right food metabolism slows or sleep which causes muscle loss instead of losing fat which you actually gain back when you start eating.

For achieving a healthy weight loss keeping the metabolism active throughout the day, exercising 5 days a week and eating a healthy meal is the key to lose weight .but always consult a physician before doing any strenuous exercise is important .so least but not last setting up a realistic goals in life for effectiveness is crucial.so don’t delay start today.
