Poly cystic ovarian syndrome is emerging as most common female gynecological problem these days.


INTRODUCTION:

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is the presence is the presence of multiple cysts in the ovaries caused by an imbalance of reproductive hormones. There is an elevation of male hormones causing symptoms.
The ovaries fail to release egg monthly as a result of small multiple fluid filled cavities in the ovaries. The cyst itself is not harmful but may leads to serious health problems if left untreated.

The exact cause of this syndrome is still unknown but genetic play a role in its occurrence.
